Unsung Hero of Manly’s Environment Recognised in Eco Award

Manly Environment Centre recently held its annual Eco Awards to recognise the members of our community for their outstanding contribution to the conservation of our environment in Manly. Over 100 people attended the event which was held at the prestigious International College of Manly Sydney.
The launch of the 'Beauty of Biodiversity' - Art Exhibition was a great sucess. Around 100 guests admired the work of local artists. The paintings and sculptures captured the beauty of Manly's extraordinary biodiversity.
The combined display of the Manly Environment Centre, Manly’s Penguin Wardens, Eco Divers, Sydney Wildlife, Balgowlah Heights Public School and the North Head Sanctuary Foundation in the ALIVE exhibition at the Australian Museum was a great opportunity to show Manly’s rich biodiversity.
Close to 1500 people discovered the 'Living Lab' at North Head Sanctuary, an event for the 'National Science Week' and to celebrate the 'International Year of Biodiversity' organised by the Manly Environment Centre. Gorgeous weather provided a great day out for all ages to enjoy numerous activities.
